Former Minister Afif Chalbi provided two concrete examples of the removal of the subsidies programmed by the current government and which would be declared to the IMF:
1- In 2021, the gas cylinder would rise from 7.7 dinars to 24 dinars
2- Bread would go from 220 millimes to more than 600 millimes in 2023.
Afif Chalbi is convinced that this program in the current form will never go through what it would jeopardise triggering a social revolution and the wise men of Tunisia would never allow it.
