German Chancellor Olaf Scholz tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit stated.
Scholz entered isolation in the chancellery apartment after receiving the positive test. The German chancellor is said to have “mild cold symptoms.”
Hebestreit noted that Scholz has canceled all public appointments this week, while he will attend internal appointments virtually.
