South Korean activists organized a rally condemning the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Seoul today, Thursday, November 9, 2023. To protest against American support for the Zionist entity in its ongoing war against the Gaza Strip for more than a month. Protesters voiced solidarity with the Palestinian people of Gaza, chanting slogans against the United States and their support for the occupation, in front of the South Korean Foreign Ministry headquarters in Seoul.
The United States provided rapid and significant support to the occupying forces when Congress authorised a $14 billion aid package for Tel Aviv, including $10 billion to bolster air defences and to substitute the stockpiles of munitions that Israel has used so far in its war. The United States has sparked domestic and international outrage over its failure to pressure the Zionist entity to implement an urgent ceasefire and allow aid in more quickly in the Gaza Strip, in light of the siege and incessant bombardments which have lasted for more than a month.
Against this backdrop, South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin said on Thursday that he and his US counterpart Anthony Blinken share a view on the necessity for a humanitarian truce in the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
