Speaking at today’s press conference, Finance Minister Sihem Boughdiri lifted the cover on the most significant social measures put in place under the 2022 finance law.
It is:
– Rise in the subsidy allocated to vulnerable categories from DT 180 to DT 200 for the profit of 120,000 beneficiaries
– Execution of social assistance of 30 DT each month for children under 6 from low-income families
– Implementation of social assistance for the benefit of students
-Establishment of assistance of 50 dinars for 9 years for the benefit of kindergartens for each child belonging to low-income families to motivate these institutions to accommodate the categories
– Implementation of new measures to ease obtaining social housing
– Permit young graduates to profit from an amount of up to 150,000 dinars to encourage the creation of companies and businesses in order to encourage the social and solidarity economy
– Diversification of the financing resources of social funds
– Protection of the purchasing power of Tunisians
– Preserve the same prices for subsidized products
– Development of a program permitting public officials aged 57 with at least 15 years of work to retire
– Extension of leave for public service workers from 1 to 3 years renewable to allow them to create companies and launch projects
– Support people and institutions impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic
