Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Sfax regional health director Jawher Mekni announced that 22 vaccination centres were made available to citizens and health professionals on the occasion of the 4th national vaccination day.
Mr Mekni added that 8,905 doses of the vaccine were given during the first 2 hours of the day distributed as follows:
- 15 doses (1st dose) for the benefit of the educational body
- 8,890 doses (2nd dose) for the benefit of the category concerned: people aged 40 and over who were vaccinated on August 8, 2021
The official stated that health professionals have encountered some difficulties in connection to people who went to the centres without summons emphasising, in the same context, that the problem has been resolved.
