The Independent High Authority for the Elections (ISIE) received a sum of 98 nominations for the upcoming presidential election by the official 6:00 pm deadline. .
ISIE vice-president Farouk Bouaskar said that only 20 to 25 % matched the necessary requirements.Only 27 of the 98 presidential nominees properly submitted a financial guarantee of 10 thousand dinars to the state coffers while 33 files promptly checked factual errors in sponsoring, Bouaskar said.
