The public prosecutor at the Nabeul Court of Appeal and member of the Supreme Judicial Council Khaled Abbes announced that an investigation for infringement of individual liberty and sequestration was initiated against Hichem Mechichi while he was Minister of Interior following the arrest of businessman Mourad Khechine. Khaled Abbes said Mourad Khechine’s lawyer filed a complaint about the kidnapping of his client and his arrest.
This statement by Abbes comes as part of his response to several accusations from the president of the association of magistrates Anas Hmaidi including the case of Mourad Khechine who did not comply with confinement.
