National Guard units were able to apprehend four individuals wanted by various security units and judicial structures for “membership in a terrorist organization”, and were condemned to prison terms ranging from two to 13 years.
A report released on Wednesday evening by the General Directorate of the National Guard revealed that several individuals were apprehended by joint patrols from the Central and Regional Directorate for the Fight against Terrorism, working within the National Guard districts of Bizerte, Gafsa, and Nabeul. This operation furthermore witnessed the involvement of intelligence units from the National Guard regions of Al-Ksar, Grombalia, and the second department of the A.01 highway, all of which were supported by rapid intervention units.
