Tunisia- [Audio] Nissaf Ben Alaya clarifies reasons behind delay in announcing COVID-19 Test Analysis

The apparent delay in issuing the health ministry daily press releases to announce the results of the COVID-19 Test Analysis outraged many citizens.

Clarifying the situation, Director of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya explained that the delay is mainly due to collecting results from several laboratories.

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique,Dr.Alaya affirmed that certain laboratories collect results manually, which prompts the delay in the publication of daily updates.

In the same context,she called on citizens to show understanding and help the health ministry in this crises.
