Tunisia-[Audio+Photo ]: Citizen discloses catastrophic situation of lockdown centre in Chott Mariem

A Tunisian national repatriated from France alongside his 3-year-old daughter denounced the abominable circumstances of the lockdown centre offered by the state he insisted on recounting his bad experience in the centre of Chott Mariem.

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, He recounted the catastrophe they experienced on the bus that took them to the Sousse, the bus broke down while on its way and they’re forced to wait for an hour and a half, before getting into a spare bus.

Arriving at the quarantine centre, he discovered a catastrophic situation, both in terms of poor and decaying infrastructure as well as poor hygiene and furniture and linen that are riddled with humidity.

The drama doesn’t end here for our speaker, as they couldn’t eat the spicy dinner that was brought to them.
He also reported that the hotel rooms were empty of everything, including fridges, to put at least a yoghurt or milk for his daughter.

This witness asked to find an alternative to this centre, as soon as possible, because it could make his daughter ill.
