Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, constitutional law professor Salsabil Klibi announced the new government does not require a parliamentary vote. The President of the Republic has stipulated that he will be responsible for designating a new prime minister. Consequently, the new government will have more limited powers than those attributed to it by the text of the constitution.
He will simply be responsible for assisting the President of the Republic to implement his action plan, added the expert. Salsabil klibi evoked that as its name implies, the state of emergency should in theory finish as soon as the imminent peril ends.
