Fifty factory workers in an industrial unit have tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement to the TAP, local health director Fathi Latif affirmed that the regional administration was notified by the specialised authorities of the Ministry of Health about the results of the tests carried out by the investigation teams, which is linked to taking swabs samples from the work area of the girl who was confirmed positive for the virus last Saturday.
The investigation teams had started to conduct a series of laboratory analyzes on workers in two different industrial units, immediately after two positive tests for two women, the analyzes of all those in contact with one of them were negative, while the initial results related to the second were positive. Test results for workers in the shift system will be out soon.
The industrial unit has been shut down and all workers have been subjected to testing as well forcing everyone to self-isolation.
