In a statement to a private radio, the director of preventive health at the regional health directorate of Medenine Zid El Anz announced the discovery of a black fungus case.
According to the same source, the person in question was admitted to a private clinic to receive the required treatment.
El Anz said the region reported 36 new infections during the last 24 hours on the basis of 488 tests carried out.
