Out of 1457 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 53 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 30 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement Saturday. They include 18 new cases of which 2 are local infections,16 are new imported cases and 12 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1443 from a total of 89318 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 1133 recoveries, 50 deaths and 260 active cases, including 7 hospitalised.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
