39 more imported cases of infection with COVID-19 were recorded on July 12, bringing the overall cases of infection to 1302, the Health Ministry announced on Monday.
The ministry said in a statement, “Following a total of 577 lab tests,40 cases tested positive, of which 39 are new Imported infections and 1 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
As such, the number of confirmed cases rose to 1302 out of 79144 screening tests performed since the first cases were identified last March.
Additionally,170 patients are still virus-carriers and kept in observation while recoveries rose to 1082. The death toll stands at 50 since the beginning of the outbreak.
