Judge and political activist, Kalthoum Kannou alleged in a post published on her page this evening, July 25, 2021, the arrest of prime minister Hichem Mechichi.
Several leaders of Ennahda movement had affirmed that they were unable to reach Mechichi and that he is probably being held at the presidential palace.
It should be noted that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied this evening announced the application of Article 80 of the Constitution, under which he sacked Mechichi and froze the powers of the palriment.
