Tunisia: Condensed milk imported from Malaysia temporarily withdrawn from market

Condensed milk imported from Malaysia possesses carcinogenic substances, according to the dean of veterinarians, Ahmed Rajab. For its part, the Ministry of Agriculture reveals that this milk was subject to a health check and was subjected to laboratory analyses, but that offences were noted in the labelling. This milk has been temporarily withdrawn from the market…

The director general of the National Food Safety Authority, Mohamed Rebhi, talked on Mosaique FM this Monday, January 29, 2024, to confirm the provisional withdrawal of this condensed milk imported from Malaysia and to declare that the Food Safety Authority will carry out further analyses.

He explained that this milk is a mixture of products rather than concentrated milk of animal origin, adding that the verification process to which it was subjected was not the right one.
