Tunisia-Coronavirus: Quarantine zone devoted to Tunisians coming from China

Interim Minister of Health Sonia Ben Cheikh announced that Tunisians boarding from China will be quarantined as part of precautionary measures against Coronavirus. She pointed out that no cases have been confirmed in Tunisia.

“We are ready to face any eventuality in coordination with the various departments and structures concerned,” she asserted.

Speaking during the meeting of Ariana Regional Council, Cheikh indicated that beginning from the upcoming week, awareness campaigns will be aired in the audiovisual media, in addition to organising information visits to educational institutions on the importance of hygiene in preventing the virus.

Speaking during the meeting of Ariana Regional Council, Cheikh The Minister denounced the rumours stating that a Coronavirus infection was recorded in Tunisia and the reservation of tourist areas for quarantine.
“These rumours are likely to spread panic among the people,” she said.
She also recorded that the ministry observes the health of Tunisians stranded in China in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, acknowledging the efforts made by Chinese authorities to protect the lives of its citizens and foreign nationals.
