The director general of public health structures, Mohamed Mokdad, assured this Wednesday, during a press conference organized by the ministry, that wearing a mask avoided certain complications related to the coronavirus.
Recalling that the virus was spread in the population following contact with an infected person, through oral and nasal secretions, the official indicated that wearing the mask would reduce the number of infectious droplets and, therefore, the severity of the disease.
Mokdad also indicated that despite the progression of transmission, severe forms of the disease remain very rare, recalling, however, that certain pathologies worsen the symptoms linked to Coivd-19.
