The fifth Criminal Chamber specializing in terrorist cases at the Tunis Court of First Instance decided on Monday to delay to February 25, 2022, the examination of the case of the assassination of Mohamed Brahmi.

Saïed: Corruption, a common currency among some magistrates

President of the Republic Kais Saied welcomed this Monday, November 1, 2021, Leila Jaffel, Minister of Justice. During the meeting, the head of state remarked that the magistrates of integrity implement the law despite several attempts at intervention such as pressure, intimidation and bribes.

In this context, Mr Saïed evoked that a decree is being prepared to organize the work of the Superior Council of the Judiciary. This decree does not meddle in any case in the affairs of justice because it will be prepared with the participation of the magistrates.

Moncef Kchaou is sworn in before Kais Saied

Magistrate Moncef Kchaou, first president of the Court of Cassation, was sworn in today before the President of the Republic Kais Saied , following his appointment in that capacity as a member of the Supreme Judicial Council.

INM: Earthquake hits Tozeur

According to the National Meteorology Institute (INM), an Earthquake with a magnitude of 4.24 on the Richter scale was registered today in Deguech under the Tozeur Governorate at 5: 33 am.

Ministry of Finance: Leaked 2022 finance bill unofficial

The finance ministry announced the document leaked by some media is an unfinished version of the 2022 finance bill and is consequently unofficial.

The department called for checking with official sources and making sure to publish correct data so as not to mislead public opinion.

Ali Mrabet: more than 4.5 million fully vaccinated citizens

The Minister of Health, Ali Mrabet declared that more than 4.5 million Tunisians have been fully vaccinated.

He called on the necessity to be vigilant, following the appearance of new variants in some countries

Hatem Mliki: Tunisian state promotes corruption

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,Hatem Mliki affirmed that all parties are concerned in the battle against corruption, however tracking down the corrupt is not enough.

“In some cases, it is the state that condones corruption by setting in place complex judicial procedures subject to wide discretion and interpretation, therefore opening the door to bribes and embezzlement ”he revealed .

President Saied receives Abbassi

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed this Monday, November 1, 2021, the governor of the central bank, Marouane Abbassi. During the meeting, the Head of State evoked that the socio-economic choices need to emanate from a reading of our reality.

He further emphasised the need to reassure citizens and opt for austerity, to avoid needless spending adding that it is necessary, in the first place, to count on oneself.
