The presidency of the House of People’s Representatives issued a statement on Friday, July 30, 2021, condemning the “illegal detention ” of independent MP Yassine Ayari, maintaining that the procedure affects the integrity of the parliament .

The presidency of the parliament calls for the revelation of the whereabouts of Yassine Ayari, calling for his immediate release. The presidency of the parliament is similarly calling for an emergency meeting of the bureau of the parliament to examine the matter.
