The government decree n ° 2020-87 of August 27, 2020, creating within the presidency of the government a general direction of governance and the prevention of corruption and fixing its attributions was published in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic (JORT).
The department in question participates in the development of the national strategy on governance and prevention of corruption as well as in monitoring its implementation and evaluation and the activities of the good governance units.
The General Directorate of Governance and Corruption Prevention has three units: Corruption Prevention Unit, Governance Unit Monitoring Unit and Unit for Studies, Planning and Cooperation Programs.
The draft government decree creating a general directorate for governance and the prevention of corruption was adopted during the Council of Ministers meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
