Tunisia-Faouzi Mehdi: Expect a fourth wave of COVID-19 in mid-June

Health Minister Faouzi Mehdi called the health situation on Friday, May 28, 2021, worrying, adding that the figures are stable however at a high level.

Speaking to Shems FM, Faouzi Mehdi that the country will likely encounter a fourth wave of the spread of COVID-19 in mid-June.

“We stand ready to handle any situation and take charge of the cases that will be recorded by then,” he added.

The Minister of Health subsequently announced two new cases of South African variant infection detected today.
