In a press release published on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, the French consulate in Tunisia stated that it has been forced to temporarily suspend the reception of short-stay visa applications.
The consulate explained that following the measures announced by the Tunisian Head of Government on the evening of October 3 to limit the spread of Covid-19, it quickly adapted its operating methods. Thus, the visa service agents have been working since Tuesday, October 6 in brigades with 50% of the usual workforce.
“To examine the stock of short-stay visa application files in compliance with regulatory deadlines, the Consulate General was forced to temporarily suspend the reception of this category of applications,” explained the consulate.
