Iyadh Elloumi, president of the parliamentary committee of inquiry charged with investigating the case of conflict of interest has prosecuted MP Fakhfakh during yesterday session, President of the democratic current bloc Hichem Ajbouni asserted.
Speaking to Shems FM, he said that Elloumi begun to throw accusations toward the PM as soon as the session began using his position as Qalb Tounes president .
Regarding propositions for the prime minister to step down until investigation ends, Ajbouni commented that this proposition was given by an MP from Al Karama coalition, Qalb Tounes new ally and adopted by Elloumi. The latter announced it to the press even though the committee members are still in the meeting.
He stressed that Elloumi shouldn’t mix his identity as an MP entering a fight and his position as president of the inquiry committee.
Many MPs have questioned his ability to preside over the committee, he added.
