Tunisia-Hichem Ajbouni:Democratic Current will not vote for a government that will not last

President of the democratic current bloc Hichem Ajbouni affirmed that the Democratic current affirmed its respect for the party’s National Council’s position on refusing to grant the vote of confidence to the government of prime minister-designate Hichem Mechichi during tomorrow plenary session.

Ajbouni felt that the Mechichi government does not have a vision or the outlines of the program or priorities, criticizing the criteria for choosing its members and their composition, especially with the confusion that occurred during the nomination of certain names. and their CVs which do not allow them to be in a government of crisis.

He explained that the Mechichi government is unable to face the challenges ahead, stressing that it is in the country’s interest not to waste any more time. “The government can pass, but it will not last long and will produce instability,” he said.

Ajbouni continued that “the clear differences between the President of the Republic and the appointed head of government do not make us optimistic about the success of this government in the coming period”.
