Speaking to Radio Med,Qalb Tounes party leader and MP Iyadh Elloumi announced that Rached Ghannouchi announced during the last meeting of Ennahdha’s political bureau that the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed asked him to bring down the Mechichi government, during the confidence vote session, in return, he guarantees that he will not dissolve Parliament.
Elloumi added that Ghannouchi asked Kaïs Saïed to make a public announcement to this effect, but the latter refused, before retracting a few hours later.
