Replying to a question directed during an interview with a French media, prime minister Hichem Mechichi stated that the Ennahdha Party is a civil party which upholds the values of the Republic, as well as the Legislation in force. He likewise believed that the Movement was a supporter of dialogue and that it had assisted in saving the democratic process in Tunisia.
The Head of Government, on another level, declared that despite the fact that terrorism is a significant threat, this phenomenon was not specific to Tunisia, believing that the security resolution is not enough to solve this problem and emphasising that Tunisians reject these extremist ideologies.
