During a hearing session dedicated to the bill relating to the amendment of certain articles of Law No. 73 of the year 2000 relating to private higher education, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Moncef Boukthir reported that during the 2022-2023 academic year, the private higher education sector has 83 institutions and welcomes 44,988 students, representing 18.75% of the total enrolled, including 5 355 foreign students.
