Remarking on the prerogatives of the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, in connection to the taking of oaths of new members of the administration, leader of Ennahdha parliamentary bloc Imed Khmiri indicated that the allegations of corruption against the new ministers cannot be based on rumours shared on social networks, in the lack of evidence and court decisions that confirm such accusations.
According to him, Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi has vowed to disclose all data relating to new members of the government to the Anti-Corruption Authority (INCLUCC) as well as to supervisory bodies within the House of People’s Representatives.
The MP evoked that the President of the Republic is responsible for the proper administration of the constitutional provisions which force him to accept the swearing-in of new ministers.
