Tunisia increases its industrial exports by 11%

Exports from the industrial sector rose from 45901.4 MD during the eleven months of 2022 to 50954.7 MD during the eleven months of 2023, therefore registering an increase of 11%. The industrial sector imported 54724.2 MD during the eleven months of 2023 compared to 55465.8 MD during the same period of 2022, thus recording a decline of 1.3%.

The trade balance of the industrial sector stands at –3769.5MD against –9564.4MD during the eleven months of 2022. Therefore, an improvement in the deficit of the industrial trade balance.

According to the APII, during the eleven months of the year 2023, the investment announced in the industrial sector reached the amount of 2147.3 MD, against 2171.8 MD during the eleven months of the year 2022, thus recording a slight decrease of 1.1%. The number of projects declared reached 2,719 during the eleven months of 2023 compared to 2,721 projects during the same period of 2022. These projects will allow the creation of 40,574 job positions.
