Prime Minister-designate Habib disclosed that the ruling coalition has properly started to take shape, indicating precisely the possible existence of a comprehensive agreement between Ennahdha, Democratic Current, People movement and Tahya Tounes.
Talking at a press briefing after the official meeting with the four leaders, PM Jemli affirmed that he has sensed positive vibes from the parties present at the meeting and an intense awareness adequately demonstrated by the imperative necessity to unlock solutions to the economic and social situation.
Jemli pointed out that the meeting has undoubtedly helped to reach the remarkable convergence of views on several points associated to the government‘s programme and political agreement, and that it will continue on Saturday, with the review of ministerial portfolios.
The meeting has paved the way for promptly breaking the standoff in the government formation, “pointing to the“possible announcement of the government line-up early next week.”, announced Rached Ghannouchi in an official declaration to the TAP agency.
Secretary-general of the Echaab Movement Zouheir Maghzaoui stated that prime minister Habib Jemli had displayed a distinct summary of his elected government and the political announcement of that government, indicating he will work to submit this proposal to the movement’s structures, before the resumption of the meeting on Saturday.
For his part, Secretary-general of democratic current Mohamed Abbou affirmed that deliberations regarding the government are tentatively set to recommence on Saturday and the party’s structures will determine at the end of the meeting whether to convene its National Council or not.
