President of the republic Kaïs Saïed chaired, this Tuesday, the ceremony observing the commemoration of the events of April 9, 1938, at the Martyrs’ Square.
Saïed placed a wreath of flowers at the base of the memorial, honouring the memory of the martyrs. He also recited the Fatiha.
He saluted the national flag to the sound of the national anthem while reviewing a detachment of honour from the three branches of the armed forces.
