President of the Republic Kais Saied welcomed Saudi Interior Minister Abdelaziz Ben Saoud Ben Nayef ben Abdelaziz Al Saoud today at Carthage palace.
The Head of State hailed the fraternal ties established between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia which have been further consolidated with the airlift launched by Saudi Arabia to assist Tunisia fight the Covid-19 pandemic. He likewise stressed military and security cooperation between the two nations as well as mechanisms to strengthen cooperation relations with the purpose of building a better future for the two brotherly peoples.
Kais Saied also indicated that he will continue to coordinate with Saudi Arabia to combat terrorism, extremism and organized crime. For his part, the Minister of the Interior conveyed the greetings of the Saudi King to Kais Saied expressing his country’s readiness to help Tunisia. According to him, the king voiced his confidence in Tunisia’s ability to overcome the problems it faces.
