Tunisia-Kais Saied: “We must vaccinate the Tunisian political system”

In his speech on the occasion of the new administrative year, Head of State Kais Saied did not fail to convey political messages, but likewise to take stock of 2020.

President Saied admitted that 2020 was a tough year for all Tunisians, mainly because of political and parliamentary quarrels, but additionally because of the health and economic crises.

He recollected in this sense that these conditions did not enable him to present his legislative initiatives linking to the support of the families of the martyrs of the revolution and the armed forces and to fiscal reconciliation.

Referring to the political crisis, the President of the Republic deemed it necessary to “vaccinate the political system with a vaccine that is not imported, so that it can lead to the recognition of the aspirations of the revolution”.

Also relating to his decision to agree to oversee the national dialogue, he promised that it will in no way be similar to the national dialogues already held.
