Farid ben Haja official spokesman for Mahdia and Monastir courts said that an inquiry was initiated in the past days after a complaint filed by a municipal councillor against the mayor, accusing him of raping her.
He said that the accident goes back to December 2018 but the prosecutor confirmed that she had been blackmailed by the mayor who sent her letters containing personal data related about her.
