The regional health directorate in Medenine has revealed that 67 new coronavirus infections have been registered in the past 24 hours, including 36 cases among students.
The total number of local contaminations has reached 33,558 cases since the spread of the pandemic. The majority of new positive cases have been caught on the island of Djerba with 43 cases in Houmet Essouk and 21 in Midoune, the same source said.
As a reminder, three educational establishments were shut down in Djerba following the spread of the covid, thus creating disruptions in the exam schedule.
