At a press conference on November 16, 2021, Health Minister Ali Mrabet said scientific research reveals that vaccination is the best way to combat the coronavirus today. He emphasised that the health passes (QR code) will be ready before December 22, the date from which they will be obligatory to access public and professional environments, adding that the ministry seeks to entrench the culture of prevention.
He revealed that vaccinated people are immune to the risk of worsening the disease and not to infection as such, consequently the importance of respecting barrier gestures, including wearing a mask.
