At a press conference today, Health Minister Faouzi Mehdi highlighted the evaluation of the epidemiological situation in the country as well as the state of the vaccination campaign.
Mr Mehdi firmly warned against non-compliance with the health protocol and restrictive measures commanded by the authorities. He, accordingly, stated that it had been decided to increase screening campaigns in regions that had shown a really high number of infections and deaths.
Stating that the positivity rate has attained 29%, the minister announced that the authorities are currently conducting 400 tests per 100,000 inhabitants to be able to evaluate the health situation in the country.
