The Ministry of Commerce declared the decline in the prices of several basic food products. Below is the list of basic food items that have encountered a decline: The kilo of pepper did not surpass 3 dinars.
Sfax: 1000 millimes / Kg
Sousse: 1,600 dinars//Kg
Tazerka and Kairouan: 2,000 dinars/Kg
Menzel Bourguiba and Medenine: 2,500 dinars/Kg
The kilo of tomatoes did not surpass 1,600 dinars
Tazerka: 1,200 dinars/Kg
Jendouba: 0.800 millimes/Kg Sfax: 1,000 millimes/Kg
The kilo of potatoes did not exceed 1,500 millimes/Kg
On the other hand, white meat prices witnessed a 9% drop in addition to stable cutlet and egg prices compared to last week. The same press release noted that 1,550 tons of semolina were injected into the market for distribution in the governorates of Gafsa, Jendouba, Gabes, Mahdia, Bizerte and Kasserine in addition to the distribution of 134 tons of the same product in 10 others governorates.
