The Ministry of Trade and Export Development declared the setting of profit margins for cleanser products (bleach and powder and liquid detergents) as well as hygiene products (shampoos, soaps, toothpaste and deodorants) from today.
The margin is 5% for wholesale and 10% for retail. According to the same source, profit margins are measured on the basis of net purchase prices after subtracting reduction rates.
Warning against the combination of the two trade margins for wholesale, the ministry said that any violation is likely to lead to prosecution in accordance with the regulations in force.
