Tunisia-Mohamed Kraiem reveals details of loans given by CNSS (Video)

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Mohamed Kraiem, President and CEO of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) disclosed all the details on the loans to be given to its members.

He recalled that the fund started to receive applications for personal loans and the acquisition of cars (new and used) from Monday, April 1.

He specified that personal loans, the value of which was raised to a maximum of 25 thousand dinars, taking into account not subtracting more than 40% of the earnings and with repayment spread over 3 years, other loans will be granted for the purchase of a car (ceiling of 50 thousand dinars). This loan concerns workers working in the non-agricultural sector.

He clarified, in this context, that the conditions to profit from the personal loan (25 thousand dinars) are that the beneficiary must be recorded and have two years of seniority (the interest rate is 8.25% with a deadline grace period of one month).

The conditions for granting a loan for the purchase of a new or used car, which can attain 50 thousand dinars, mandate that the beneficiary must have 3 years of seniority as a member of the CNSS and repayment over 5 years and an interest rate of 10% taking into account not deducting more than 40% of salary, knowing that the fund provides 90% of the purchase price of a new car, the rest is self-funded, and 95% of the purchase price of a used car.

Mohamed Kraiem also emphasised that one of the most significant conditions to benefit from these loans is that the status of the employer is legal and in good standing (payment of social contributions for the three quarters during the last two years before the date of the request for these loans).
