President of the Syndicate of community pharmacists of Tunisia, Naoufel Amira revealed, this Friday, August 18, 2023, that the lack of medicine in Tunisia resulted from the obstacles that the Central Pharmacy had been encountering for a long time.
Naoufel Amira added during his speech on a private radio that the shortage of medicines has led to the creation of a form of parallel market for these products. He condemned the lack of reaction from the Ministry of Health regarding this case.
Recall that Amira stated that “the health sector is going through a difficult period due to the lack of medicines and the proliferation of the phenomenon of parallel pharmacies in Tunisia”. He also added that “the number of medications missing from the market has reached 350, including life-saving drugs”.
