The National Library of Tunisia received today a major donation from the Aix-en-Provence region in France. This donation is presented by the French historian Jean-Claude Garcin (1934-2021), his wife, on his instructions left before his death. This donation is composed of more than 1000 titles including books, letters and magazines.
A specialist in the History of Egypt, Jean-Claude Garcin was a university teacher in Tunisia from 1959 to 1961. He defended the thesis of several Tunisian doctoral students such as Dr Radhi Daghfous.
