The National Institute of Meteorology’ NIM” declared the impossibility to sight the crescent moon of the holy month of Ramadan on April 22.
The crescent of the holy month of Ramadan can be observed for the first time, after sunset on Thursday, April 23, 2020, beginning 6:43 PM “local time”, starting from East-West Africa and the East South Atlantic, and then successively towards the West.
Thus, Friday, April 24, 2020, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, pending confirmation of the Mufti.
