Noureddine Taboubi, secretary-general of the Tunisian General Labour Union has officially announced that the union won’t be participating for the upcoming presidential and legislative elections.
Taboubi positively affirmed that the race would be purely among political factions and independent lists.
He pointed out that active trade unionists at the grassroots level are free to run if they earnestly desire weather with parties or independent lists.
