Palestine marks today 72 years of the Nakba, on this occasion, Tunisia repeated its continuous support to the Palestinian people for the restoration of their legitimate rights and the establishment of its independent state within the 1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Friday, Tunisia started the commemoration of this day is also a renewed opportunity to call on the international community to brave with determination the attempts to expand settlements. The aim is to enable the heroic Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate aspirations for the establishment of an independent and sovereign state.
Tunisia will spare no effort to continue defending the Palestinian cause and support all genuine initiatives directed at achieving a fair and comprehensive settlement restoring rights to Palestinians and achieving the security and stability of all peoples of the region.
The commemoration of this anniversary forms an occasion to pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed themselves to defend the just Palestinian cause and for the freedom of Palestine, adds the statement.
