The broad frames of the economic rescue plan and the central reformations vowed by the government to face the hurdles posed by the COVID-19 pandemic19 were at the centre of a high-level meeting between Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh and delegates of Tunisia’s main international economic partners.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, in person and by VTC at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, read and observed the progression of financial and economic partnership between Tunisia and its numerous partners, which has been established amid supplementary funding obligations during the health crisis prompted by the coronavirus, said a statement from the Prime Ministry.
Fakhfakh declared the rescue plan is based on four principal axes, including the restoration of blocked projects to support the national economy, support for companies touched by the COVID-19 crisis, social support for vulnerable groups and the improvement of public governance and the fight against corruption.
