Lawyer Mokhtar Jemaï revealed on Tuesday that it was scheduled for former MP Rached Khiari to be heard by the investigating judge in office 35 at the Tunis Court of First Instance. But to the surprise of the defence who was present, in court, there was no trace of the judge, just as the warrant for the release of the defendant from the prison did not reach the direction of this one.
He added that this magistrate had issued a new warrant against Khiari, in the context of a case where he was accused of having abused his powers to assist a third person in evading prosecution and security control.
