In an interview with France 24, the president of the republic Kais Saied addressed the situation in Palestine.
He confirmed that Tunisia is deploying all possible efforts to halt the aggression against the Palestinian people. “We are in the process of deploying everything at the UN to reach a ceasefire,” he remarked.
Asked about his position of the Palestinian cause, he stated that “not to recognize the rights of the Palestinians is considered a high treason”.
“What we call normalization is a betrayal in itself,” he said.
